Catherine Ann Quinn, February 1, 1955 - April 5, 2026
Of Westwood and South Dennis, formerly of Jamaica Plain and Roslindale passed away on April 5, 2026. Daughter of the late Mary Gavin Standley and John N. Standley, wife of the late James C. Quinn. She is survived by her son Christian Quinn and his wife Holly of Woodstock, GA, her daughter Katie Benton of Auburn, MA, her daughter Maura M. Quinn of Foxborough, MA and her son Thomas Quinn of Medford, MA. She is also survived by her five beloved grandchildren, Simon and Tucker Benton, Gavin and Lillian Quinn and Seamus Quinn. She was loved by her in-laws as if she was their own sister and was proud to be an aunt to 15 nieces and nephews around the world. Cathy spent 28 years working at The Labor Guild and later worked at Kohls in Walpole and Hyannis. Cathy lived her life in service of others, volunteering first in youth sports, then as a Girl Scout leader and CCD teacher. She served for over 30 years as a 4-H leader, initially in sheep and poultry clubs, then as a long-time dog club leader. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church 845 High St., Westwood on Saturday April 18th at 12:30 pm. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will follow at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to Thunder Hill Canine 4-H Club, 7 Midstate Drive, Suite 201, Auburn MA 01501. | ||||
