Robert W. Barton, 76, of Worcester died Tuesday, March 31st at home. He leaves two brothers, Richard Barton and his wife, Mary Sheila of Leicester and Kenneth C. Barton of New Hampshire; nieces and nephews, Natalie, Danielle, Michelle, Tracy, Thomas, Michael and James. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Barton; and a sister, Arlene Wood.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Howard and Ethel (Sawa) Barton. Robert graduated from Boys Trade and went on to be a line type operator. He retired from Worcester State Hospital where he worked for many years in the maintenance department. In his younger years, Robert enjoyed spending his time fishing and was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
His graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17th at 10:00 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street (Section St. Mary). O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is assisting the family with arrangements.
