(Butch) Michael Smith, a cherished family member, peacefully departed this world at 2:00 a.m. on April 11, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Smith and Michael Smith Sr., and his daughter, Cristine Smith. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jodean Smith; his daughter, Billie Leon; his grandsons, Daniel Leon and Jonathan Centeno; his son-in-law, Toby Leon; and his sister, Wilma Smith Kennedy.
Michael was an outgoing and kind-hearted individual with a passion for watching the Los Angeles Dodgers, enjoying racing, spending time with his dogs, taking daily walks, and making his regular trips for a Coke Zero. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Michael cherished spending time with his grandson, Daniel, and they shared many wonderful memories together. We will all miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held in August (the exact date will be announced soon). The gathering will be potluck-style, and a GoFundMe will be shared to support the family during this difficult time.
