AnnMarie Camera, 65
Dateline: Mansfield, MA AnnMarie Camera, age 65, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Paul V. Ferrara, with whom she spent the past 26 years filled with love and happiness. Born in Newport, Rhode Island on February 9, 1961, she was a loving daughter of the late George S. and Ann A. (Gerlach) Camera. Annmarie grew up on Aquidneck Island surrounded by the beauty of Narragansett Bay and at an early age, developed a strong sense of love and passion for the ocean. She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and earned her Associates Degree as a Microbiology Technician. She had worked as a Microbiology Technician at Kent County Hospital in South County, attended Saint Barnabas Church in Portsmouth and most of all, loved spending time with her treasured family. From a young age, AnnMarie was an avid and accomplished sailor. She spent many years sailing throughout the Caribbean’s, but her heart always led her back to the waters of the Mount Hope Bay. She will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking skills, the way she unconditionally extended her home to others, her sweet soul and demeanor and the special place she held sacred in her heart for animals. In addition to her beloved husband Paul, she is survived by her devoted children, Jason M. Camera of Mansfield and Francesca R. Ferrara of Mansfield. She was the cherished sister of Fred Camera of California, Eric Camera of Virginia, the cousin of Billy and Tyson Gerlach, the aunt of Nathan and Joseph Camera, as well as dozens of cousins and her beloved Rottweiler “Rosie”, who she loved and adored dearly. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, April 25th from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Following the visitation on Saturday for AnnMarie, all friends and family are welcome to a celebration of her life from 12:00-4:00 P.M. at the Mansfield Lodge of Elks, 140 North Main Street in Mansfield.
