Title: Richard B. Milas, 84
WEBSTER – Richard B. “Dickie” Milas, 84, died Monday, April 6, 2026 at home after an illness surrounded by his family.

He leaves his wife of almost 64 years, Margaret A. (Piasta) Milas; a daughter, Cheryl A. Milas and her partner Liisa Alger of Worcester; a son, Michael P. Milas and his wife Margie of Webster; a sister-in-law, Susan G. Yurkevicius and her husband Joseph of Dudley; 2 godsons, David Szeredy and Eric Fontaine; several nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his brother Anthony Milas, Jr.

He was born on October 9, 1941 in Webster, the son of Anthony Milas, Sr. and Mary (Kus) Milas. He attended St. Joseph Elementary and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1959.

Mr. Milas was a Teamster with P. Wajer & Sons Express in Dudley for 29 years and then at Carolina Freight in Shrewsbury retiring in 1993.

He was a member of the Teamsters Local 170 and the Singletary Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting deer, fishing especially ice fishing, and gardening.

His funeral will be held Thursday, April 9, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling Hours will be from 8:30 to 10:30 Thursday morning prior to the Mass in the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to Saint Joseph Elementary School, 47 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570.
