Dennis M. Daviau

LUDLOW – Dennis M. Daviau, 69, of Ludlow and a longtime resident of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, April 2, 2026. He passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on July 5, 1956, a beloved son of the late Richard M. “Dick” Daviau who was Called Home on December 23, 2006 and Lillian L. “Lil” (Latour) Daviau who was Called Home on October 26, 2022. He was raised in Chicopee and graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School Class of 1974. He furthered his education at STCC and AIC both in Springfield. He was a Master Electrician and owner of Daviau Electric in Ludlow. He later was an instructor at Porter and Chester Institute in Chicopee. In his younger years, he was a proud Eagle Scout and received the Order of the Arrow. During his leisure time, his passions were fishing, back country camping, hiking and skydiving. He loved the outdoors. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He leaves his two loving and devoted children, April L. Wolk and her husband, Chad Clifford, of Poultney, VT, and Jeremy R. Daviau and his wife, Emily, of Marblehead, MA; his three cherished grandchildren, Bella Wolk, Gavin Daviau, and Brody Daviau; his three dear sisters, Denise M. Viens and her husband, Paul, Darlene M. Stawarz and her husband, Raymond, and Dale M. Benard and her husband, Ronald, all of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre -Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. (The parking lot is located in the rear of the Funeral Home). His Burial will be private at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley.
