Alice “Elaine” Mullis Gardner, 84, of Tifton passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Gardner at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Lawrence Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Ike Branch will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Randy, Jamie, Brian, Matthew, Perry and Colby will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Smith, Tim Brady and Gavin Klopfenstein.
Born June 25, 1941, in Tift County, Mrs. Gardner was the daughter of the late Ollie B. Mullis and Willie Kate Lawrence Mullis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Gardner; two sons, Dorsey King and Roger King; two brothers, James Mullis and J. D. Mullis; and one sister, Katie Wilson. Before retiring, she was a secretary at Fuji Film Company in Tifton.
Mrs. Gardner leaves behind to cherish her memory, one brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Patricia Mullis of Enigma; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Thelma and James Smith of Ty Ty, Margie Cole of Norman Park, Sylvia Ann and Tim Brady of Tifton and Debbie Jo Mullis of Enigma; and one grandson, Elijah King.
