Kenneth M. Morse, age 93, of North Easton, formerly of Norton and Mansfield, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, April 4, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Carlson) Morse, to whom he was wed for the past thirty years, and the late Joan (Ellis) Morse.
Born in Mansfield, MA on December 26, 1932, he was the son of the late Edna (Alderson) Morse and Cecil M. Morse. Ken grew up in Mansfield and was a 1950 graduate of Mansfield High School. He furthered his education at Northeastern University, earning a degree in Engineering. Ken served in the Army as a medic during the Korean War. He was very proud of his work as an electronic technical engineer at the former Texas Instruments, where his career spanned decades. Ken was a resident of Norton MA, where he raised his family with his wife Joan. Later, after marrying Cheryl, he lived in Mansfield and then in North Easton for the past 22 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, North Easton. Ken was the consummate gentleman. He was always patient, kind and grateful for all his blessings. Ken was a true car enthusiast, often recalling life’s moments by the vehicle he was driving at the time. A natural engineer, he had an extraordinary ability to build, repair, and tinker with just about anything- and with his extensive collection of tools, he always had just the right one for the job. He was a great storyteller, often sharing stories of being a harmless prankster as a teenager and of the adventures he and Cheryl enjoyed together travelling, often with close friends. Ken adored time spent with family. One of his most cherished roles was being a grandfather. It was a role he embraced wholeheartedly, attending every dance recital, graduation or birthday party that he could. In addition to being a loving husband to Cheryl for over 30 years, Ken was a devoted father to Kevin Morse of Norton and his late wife Maryellen; Cheri Birch and her husband Jim of Centerville; David Larson and his wife Melanie of Barrington RI; Scott Larson and his wife Laura of Maryland; and his late son Steven Morse. He was the proud grandfather of Erika D’Agostino, Jenna Antista, Taylor Larson, Jordan Larson, Camryn Larson, Bella Larson, and Mateo Larson, and great-grandfather of Jaden Waddell and Madi and Josie Antista. He was the dear brother of Jean Munro of Taunton and the late Warren Morse. Ken is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday, April 13th at 11:00 A.M. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 143 Lincoln Street in North Easton. Burial, accompanied by military honors, will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton. Visiting hours will be held prior to the services on Monday morning, April 13th from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, Kenneth’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 143 Lincoln Street, North Easton, MA 02356.
