Mary A. (Sawicki) Lambert, 79, of Worcester died Thursday, April 2nd at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 30 years, Robert E. Lambert, Sr. died in 1999. She leaves her children, Darlene Mwangi of Boston, Robert Lambert and his wife, Nancy Harrity of Worcester, and Lori Mahoney and her husband, Matthew Sager of San Diego, CA; five grandchildren, Zackary, Casey, Cameron, Abbigale, and Brady; and a great grandson, Leo.
Born and raised in Worcester, Mary was the daughter of Stephen and Dolores (Bolivar) Sawicki. She was a proud graduate of North High School and went on to further her education at Quinsigamond Community College. She dedicated ten years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at UMass, where her compassion and kindness made a lasting impact on those she served.
Mary had a true love for life and found joy in the simple things. She was especially passionate about music, with a deep appreciation for the Blues and the sounds of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. She loved to dance, spend time at the casino, play cards, and entertain those around her—always bringing people together with her lively spirit.
Above all, Mary adored her family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
