Obituary

Dianne L. (Robinson) Pingitore, 75, of Worcester died Wednesday, April 1st in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. She leaves her daughter, Lynne Galvin and her husband, Scott of Ashburnham; two brothers, William Robinson and his wife, Karen of Vancouver, Washington, and Robert Robinson, Jr. of Worcester; a sister, Linda Halsdorff of Worcester; a grandson, Ethan Galvin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Robert Robinson, Sr. and Eileen (L’Heureux) George and her husband, James.

Dianne was a graduate of North High School and built a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for her family.

She began her career in 1970 at Parker Manufacturing, where she worked her way up from the factory floor to become an engineering secretary. When the company later became Stanley Tools, she stayed a loyal and valued employee until its closing in 1996. Dianne continued her career at Cullinan Engineering as an engineering secretary until 2011. She later worked in the materials department at Fairlawn Hospital, where she remained until her retirement in 2013.

Dianne’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially her beloved grandson, Ethan, who was truly her pride and joy. She cherished the time they spent together hiking the fire trails and enjoying the outdoors. She also loved camping trips at Shawme-Crowell with her sister, Linda, and girls weekend with her cousins. These are all memories that brought her great happiness.

Dianne had a deep appreciation for nature. She found peace in simple moments, whether fishing at the Quabbin or spending time outdoors surrounded by the beauty she loved so much.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, an incredible grandmother, a beloved sister, and a woman who’s love for her family ran deep. Her kindness, strength, and the memories she created with those she loved will be cherished always.

Funeral services and burial will be private. In honor of Dianne’s own gifts of life, the family asks in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New England Donor Services, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
