Obituary

THE VILLAGES, FL ---- Roland Richard Cadrette, 67, from The Villages, FL and formerly Laconia, NH, passed away from heart complications on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife Donna (Landry) and family in Florida.

Roland (Ro Ro), was born on March 16, 1959, in Berlin, NH, the second of four sons of Marge (Arsenault) Cadrette and the late Richard Cadrette. Roland grew up in Laconia and graduated in 1977. This is when he met Donna, the love of his life and wife, of 43 years. Their first date was the senior dance. They were married in 1982 and were blessed with 49 years together.

He was employed as a machinist and a Hazardous Waste Coordinator at New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Astro Division, for 37 years, where his wife Donna also worked. They spent many years working together and in 2021, they retired to The Villages, in Florida.

He is survived by his mother, Marge Cadrette, three brothers Ron Cadrette (Ellen), Greg Cadrette (Jean), and Ritchie Cadrette (Donna). He also has two adopted sons, Don Bossey III (grandsons Paxton and Cameron) and Dustin Bossey (Tania). In addition to his immediate family, Roland was extremely close to Donna’s six siblings and families, Rick Landry, Cindy Nutter (Bill), Debbie Landry, Tina Levasseur (Roger), Jay Landry (Beth), and Joe Landry. Roland had many nieces and nephews: Ryan, Alicia, Kendra, Alexandra (Pat), Dylan, Kristie (Brianna), Michelle (Justin), Steven (Hannah), Nicole (Zack), Cortney (Mike), Sadie, Jace, Justin (Alexandra), Caitlyn and Emmie.

Roland loved his outdoors, both in New Hampshire and Florida. He enjoyed camping, canoeing, fishing, hunting, and E-Biking, but he especially loved golfing and skiing with his brother Greg, and snowmobiling with his buddies, Andrew Sanborn and Heath Caruso, in Pittsburg. He was the type of man that always had a smile on his face and easily made friends. Roland was the guy who when camping dug a trench around the tent in case it rained; he would be the one who rode at the back of the line of snowmobilers to make sure no one was lagging behind; the guy who visited neighbors when sick; who kindly and patiently helped you with your golf swing and loved being at the lake with the kids fishing or swimming. He sang silly songs and gave a helping hand to all that he knew (and didn’t know). Roland was like a kid that enjoyed life to the fullest, in everything he did. Yes, he was that guy! As you are reading this and have a smile on your face, thank Roland and make every day extra special, just like Roland!
