WEBSTER – William E. Bandy, Jr., 51, died Sunday, March 1, 2026 in UMass/Memorial University Campus with family at his side. His wife of 27 years, Carol A. (Wilbur) Bandy, died on May 11, 2025.
He leaves 2 daughters, Destiney S. Bandy and her boyfriend Scott Saad, Jr., and Brittney M. Bandy and her fiancé Kevin Lionberger, all of Webster; his father, William E. Bandy, Sr. and his wife Carole of Milford; 2 sisters, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister April Bandy, by his grandmother Etta May, and by his best friend Piotr Karlowicz.
He was born on August 27, 1974 in Milford and raised there, the son of Barbara V. (Mauke) Bandy. He lived in Webster since the 1990’s. When in Milford, he was a volunteer fire fighter.
Mr. Bandy was a shelf stacker at Target for several years before retiring due to illness. He loved to go ice fishing. He enjoyed going on car rides with his wife.
William was a devoted husband and a loving father whose greatest purpose in life was watching his children grow and thrive. His wife was the center of his life and his deepest love.
He lived boldly and unapologetically. His voice carried, his stories were elaborate, and his presence brought life wherever he was. He could keep a person talking for hours, turning even the simplest moments into lasting memories. He loved fiercely and lived fully and that is how he will be remembered. His legacy lives on in his children: in their strength, their laughter and in the love he poured into them every day. Though his voice is no longer heard in the room, its echo will remain in their hearts forever.
May he rest in eternal peace, reunited in everlasting joy and love.
