Margie “Helen” Shaw, 77, of Tifton passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at her residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Ms. Shaw at a later date.
Born December 2, 1948, in Tifton, Ms. Shaw was the daughter of the late John Thomas “Tom” Shaw and Mildred Pauline Carr Shaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Shaw and J. Thomas Shaw; one sister, Vivian Gray; and two nieces, Gail Suggs and Cindy Miley. Before retiring, she was a hairdresser at Mane Tamers in Tifton; and she was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Christmas was her favorite time of year and during that season, she loved cooking Christmas cookies. She loved and adored her family and will be missed by her many friends.
Ms. Shaw leaves behind to cherish her memory, one sister, Mavis Suggs of Tifton; four nieces and their husbands, Terri and Ricky Hobbs, Judy Hockman, Margie and Brian Hardwick and Angela Suggs; five nephews and their wives, Keith Gray, Carroll Gray, Darrell and Stephnie Suggs, Ricky and Sheila Suggs and Eddie Suggs; a special friend and her husband, Kathy and Danny Baker of Ellenton; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
