William L. “Billy” Simensen, a resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 following a medical complication. He was 41 years of age.
Billy was born in Boston on September 11, 1984, a son of the late Helen Donahue and William Simensen. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended the Warren Prescott Elementary School and graduated from Malden High School where he was an excellent football player. Billy worked as a painter his entire life where he traveled throughout the country working very hard at his craft. Even though he was always working, Billy would always find time to spend with his precious daughter Aleah, whom he adored. He was immensely proud that he recently completed apprentice school to join The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local #577. Billy loved his music, was a devoted father, and cherished his family.
Billy is the loving father of Aleah Simensen and partner to her mother Alicia Templehof. He is the dear brother of Brandon Simensen and Eric Simensen. He is the beloved nephew of Sharon Konstantinidis and her husband Dimitrios, Debbie Mijal and her husband Bruce, Joseph "Gill" Donahue and his wife Janet, Willy Donahue, Barbara Simon, and James McCarron and his wife Jennifer. He is the beloved grandson of the late Anne Marie (Ryan) McCarron-Donahue and Leo Donahue.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Billy’s visiting hours on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 4 PM to 7 PM, concluding with his Funeral Service at 6:30 PM in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
