Stephen E. White, 31, died Saturday March 21, 2026. Stephen was the beloved son of Stephanie A. (VanOver) Agudelo of Providence and Dale E. White and his wife Terriann of Stafford Springs, CT.
Steve was born in Providence. He grew up in the Cranston and Coventry area and also lived for a time in West Greenwich and Manville.
Steve had a special soft spot in his heart for animals. He especially loved his dogs.
Steve will be remembered as a friendly and outgoing person. Steve lived his life on his own terms. Steve took each day as it came and he knew to appreciate the little things we all may take for granted in life. A beautiful sunset, the crisp morning air, the foliage of fall, these were the things that were important to Steve. He didn’t sweat the small stuff.
Steve loved his family and would want them to keep the good memories of him close to their hearts. For anyone who knew him, that is just where Steve will stay.
In addition to his parents Steve is survived by his siblings including Jeffrey Nobile, Dale E. White Jr., Ralph White, Aidan White, Cheryl Rotondo, Elizabeth Doherty, Heather St. Laurent, and Sabrina Bissonnette. Steve is also survived by his extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve was the grandson of Martha VanOver of Providence and the late Bobbie VanOver and William E. White and Dorine Bristol.
Everyone is invited to gather for a memorial service in honor of Steve’s life on Monday March 30th at 1:00 pm at the Church of the Cross, 600 Douglas Pike, Smithfield RI 02917. Steve will be laid to rest in a private service at a later date.
