HOLLIS- Kenneth William Gallant, age 74, passed away peacefully under hospice care, surrounded by family on March 22, 2026.
Son of Gilbert ("Gilly")and Agnes (Tracy) Gallant, Kenneth was born on December 4, 1951, in Rockland. He graduated from Bonny Eagle High School. During his working years, Kenneth worked various construction jobs, from doing lineman work to siding to just about everything-he was a jack of all trades. Several years ago he owned his own construction business called, 'Ken Gallant Siding'.
Kenneth enjoyed being outside in the warm weather, being with his animals, playing video games, messing and joking with people and most importantly spending time with his family-he was a very family-oriented man. Kenneth was known by his grandchildren as being "the funniest person." His family will miss his stubborn, humorous, sarcastic and 'comical wise ass' greatly.
Kenneth is predeceased by his dog Milo and cat Monroe. His parents-Gilbert and Agnes (Tracy) Gallant, his siblings-Edward Gallant, Patricia Tucci (James), Gilbert Gallant (Susan), Dolores Hamm, Shirley Belliveau (Leo), Robert Gallant.
He is survived by his children-Tamara Gurney (Stephen) and Tonya Gallant, his son-in-law-Jeremy Ward, his grandchildren- Marissa Taylor, Evan Taylor, Nathan Gallant-Ward, his granddogs-Zeus and Oscar. His siblings-Diane Lloyd (Robert), Caroline Cobb (Gordon), Linda Rubbo and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Sheilia Whitcomb for opening her home for their daughters- Tonya and Tamara to take care of Kenneth during the time of his passing.
