Priscilla Ann (Randall) Lyons, 85, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Fairfax, Virginia. Born on May 11, 1940, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Priscilla lived a life defined by kindness, faith, and devotion to her family and community.
Priscilla spent much of her life between Owings, Maryland, and Barnstable, Massachusetts—two places she loved deeply and where she built lasting memories with those closest to her.
She shared an extraordinary love story with her husband, LT Col Jack (Jay) Kingsley Lyons, who served 24 years in the United States Air Force. Together they built a beautiful life over 59 years of marriage, filled with unwavering support, faith, and deep companionship.
Priscilla was a proud and loving mother to her daughters, Rebecca Ann Cline and Heather Jae Lyons. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Ashlyn Jae Hartnett, Lauren Chatham Hartnett, Ann Deanna Cline, and Grace Elizabeth Cline, who knew her as the best grandmother anyone could hope for. Her love for her family was constant and unconditional.
A lifelong learner and helper to others, Priscilla earned her Master’s Degree as a Christian Counselor and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Programming. She used her education not just professionally, but as a way to guide and support others throughout her life. She spent countless hours counseling young people and offering wisdom and compassion to anyone who needed it.
Her faith was the center of her life. Priscilla sang joyfully in her church choir and dedicated her time to serving others through organizations such as Birthright and Ephesians, always giving generously of her time and heart.
Outside of her work and ministry, Priscilla loved cooking for family gatherings, knitting thoughtful gifts, and filling every room with warmth and laughter. She was known by everyone who met her as a kind soul whose compassion and gentle spirit left a lasting impression.
She also loved spending time with her beloved cats, Alexander Ovechkin and Flower, and she was their favorite person to spend their days with.
Those who knew Priscilla will remember her for her remarkable kindness, her quiet strength, and the beautiful example she set through a lifetime of love—especially the enduring 59-year partnership she shared with her beloved husband, Jack.
Her legacy of faith, generosity, and love will live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
As written in Scripture:
“Let all that you do be done in love.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:14
Priscilla’s life was a reflection of these words. Her kindness, faith, and love will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
