Jeannette (Zimberlin) Cole, 96, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was the wife of the late Clarence E. Cole and mother of the late Bruce D. Cole.
Mrs. Cole was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Albert Zimberlin and Alexina (Gladu) Zimberlin and had been a longtime resident of Westport. Prior to retirement, she worked at the former Star Store, New Bedford. She had a love for crafting, painting, knitting and needlepoint. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to her flowers. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and her beloved dogs, Tobie and Harley.
Survivors include her grandchildren: Christopher Cole of Dartmouth, Brittany Rautenstrauch and her husband Adam of Dartmouth and William Cole of New Bedford; her daughter-in-law: Mary-Ann Cole of Dartmouth; her daughter: Barbara Crowley and her husband Dale of Berkley; a brother: Henry Zimberlin of New Bedford; and a sister: Yvonne Marquis of Westport.
