ARUNDEL- Ralph “Ralphie” Brooks, age 53, passed away on March 15, 2026, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House Scarborough Maine after a courageous battle with heart issues.
Ralph was born in Portland Maine on September 26, 1972, a son of Rhonda Brooks & Raymond Francoeur. After graduating Kennebunk High School, Ralph went on to become a respected, beloved local painter to Arundel and nearing towns/cities.
For those who know Ralph, you know he lights up a room. If he’s around, you’re laughing. His energy is contagious, his humor unmatched, and his heart even bigger.
Ralph is unapologetically himself. He’s funny, stubborn, and set in his ways. A beautiful contradiction of a man who can find humor in almost anything but won’t tolerate disrespect. You always know exactly where you stand with him, and usually that’s right by his side, laughing.
He is a caring father and proud grandfather to a little boy who makes his world go around. He’s a loyal friend, a devoted son, and someone who shows up when the people he loves need him.
Ralph is survived by his daughters Asherah & her husband Omar, Sarah & her husband Sebastian Alicea of Biddeford Maine, Brother Jaimi & his wife Susan, their daughter Katlynn Brooks. Lastly Ralph’s ray of sunshine his grandson Liam Brooks.
Ralph’s family is still in the process of planning a “celebration of life” for Ralph.
