Obituary

Nadine (Keith) Como, 69, of Chicopee, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. She was born on October 10, 1956, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late William Keith and Betty (Creane) Keith. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Francis Como of Chicopee. Nadine spent many years working in retail and was known by those who loved her as hardworking, strong-willed, caring, and incredibly generous. She had a resilient spirit and a heart that was always open to those she loved. Family was the center of Nadine’s world. She was especially proud of being “Meme,” the loving nickname given to her by her grandchildren. Though she was only French by marriage, she embraced the title with humor and affection and wore it proudly. Nadine enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She loved golfing, camping, and the joy and nostalgia of the Christmas season, especially anything involving Rudolph. The time she spent with her family and grandchildren brought her the greatest happiness. In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her daughter, Amber Piedra and her husband Karl of Belchertown; and her eight beloved grandchildren: Austin, Adriana, Caleb, Talon, Ethan, Blake, Nolan, and Irelynn. She is also survived by her siblings: Michael Keith and Ann of Holyoke; Linda Rowley and her Jeff of Holyoke; Mark Keith and Wii of Holyoke; and Susan Keith of Feeding Hills; her lifelong friend of more than 50 years, Sharon Lessard of Holyoke; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Keith. Nadine will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, and the deep love she had for her family. To her grandchildren she was simply “Meme,” a title she cherished and carried with pride. All services are private. For online condolences, please visit www.GriseFH.com.
