Joyce Marie DeWolfe, 73, of Quincy, Massachusetts, originally from South Boston, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Anna and Richard Bonia of South Boston, and the loving mother of Lynn and her spouse Ronnie, Tina and her son Billy. She was also the devoted mother of the late Marybeth DeWolfe, who passed away in 2024.
Joyce was a proud and loving Nana to Jillian, Michael, Alex, Hannah, Kylie, Autumn, Billy, Angelia, and Emma, and a cherished Great Nana to Kenny, Olivia, Ben, and Ayla. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the absolute light of her life.
Joyce was known for her vibrant, bubbly personality and was truly the life of the party. She loved to dance, laugh, and bring joy to everyone around her. A big fan of Frank Sinatra, she also loved singing Don’t Worry, Be Happy — a song that perfectly reflected her outlook on life.
To know Joyce was to love her. Her warmth, laughter, and the love she had for her family will be deeply missed but forever remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that somewhere she is dancing, singing, and smiling down on the people she loved most, her joyful spirit living on in every grandchild, every great-grandchild, and every memory she leaves behind.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at The Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Tuesday, March 17 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
