LYMAN- Sharon Mae Allen, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, after a battle
with dementia.
She was born in Masardis Maine on December 11, 1945, to Donald and Lillian Levesque. They
moved to Saco and she attended Thornton Academy, where she met her husband, Jim. They
were then married on November 25th, 1966.
Her work life included Jackson’s Corner Store, and working in the school lunchroom, where she
loved being around her colleagues and students. She made a lifelong impact on students, and
often they would recognize her in the community many years later to let her know how much
they appreciated her kindness.
Sharon’s life was filled with love from her family, friends and her high school sweetheart of 66
years, Jim. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting and gardening, outings with girlfriends, but
most of all being surrounded by her children, and grandchildren. Sharon was a constant
presence at family events with a smile and open arms to all who arrived.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Cessario.
Sharon is survived by her husband, James Allen Jr.; her children, Benjamin Allen, Thomas
Allen, and James Allen, III, his wife Melissa, and her Son-in-Law: Jeffrey Cessario.
Six Grandchildren: Nicholas Cessario, his wife Bobbie, Andrew Cessario, Benjamin Allen,
Thomas Allen, James Allen IV,, and Avery Allen.
Four Great Grandchildren: Sofie, Deakon, Tucker and Finn Cessario.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 17th from 4 - 6 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 125 Sokokis Trail (Rt. 5) in East Waterboro.
