
Michael J. Keohane, 80, of Little Compton, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Linda H. (King) Keohane, they shared 57 years of marriage.
Michael "Mickey" was born and raised in Waltham, MA son of the late Jerome and Eleanor (Wilkie) Keohane. He was a 1964 graduate of Waltham High School. As a child, he and his family summered in Little Compton and in 1974, he officially made the town his permanent home.
Michael was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country in the U.S. Air Force and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal. He and Linda enjoyed traveling and camping and had visited many National Parks. He and Linda started their antique business, "M&L Antiques" with a passion for primitive early American furniture and Shaker masterpieces.
He was a nature photographer who enjoyed gardening and whittling. He was an avid NE Sports fan and NASCAR fan. St. Patrick's Day was his favorite holiday and he was a fixture in the annual St. Patrick's Day Boston Parade. Michael also enjoyed the simple things in life like Bluegrass Festivals, summers at South Shore Beach and enjoying the company of his beloved dog, Pedro.
Survivors along with his wife include his 3 daughters: Deborah Silvia of Tiverton, Cheryl Ann Kohane of Little Compton and Katelyn Ferreira and her husband Robert of Raleigh, NC; his sister: Mary "Betty" Briere of Little Compton; 10 grandchildren: Kurtis, Wayne, Christopher, Danielle, Marisa, Arianne, Riley, Natalie, Logan and Cole; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Denise D. Hebert and brother of the late Eleanor Keohane.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Potter Funeral Home, at 11:30 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday the 19th from 10-11:30 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
