Mary F. St. Jacques, RN, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 8, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Martha (Quigley) St. Jacques.
Born in Providence, she had lived in North Providence for many years. Mary was a pediatric nurse at the former RI Children’s Hospital in Providence.
Mary is survived by her twin sister, Margaret Holden and her husband, Stephen D. Holden of Smithfield and a nephew, Stephen A. Holden.
In the warm weather Mary could be found with and her sister, Margaret on Roger Wheeler Beach at Chair #5. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Aruba and Florida, listening to Irish Music, rock and roll and Neil Diamond. She loved celebrating holidays and, along with her friends, annually celebrated Bastille Day, Cinco de Mayo, and St. Patrick’s Day.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 6:30pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening prior to the service from 4-6:30pm. Please wear green to celebrate Mary with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or Wish Come True.
