
Fred Barry Belson of Rowley, MA, was born on Nov. 27, 1935 to Robert Isadore and Anne (Weinberg) Belson. He grew up in Lynn, Ma and graduated from Lynn English high school. He continued his education at the Benjamin Franklin institute of technology for automotive, later machinery repair, and served in the Army national guard. He spent his career of 45 years in management for his uncle Louie’s Wain Mfg in Lynn.
Fred was well liked by everyone he met, pleasant to all and at times trusting to a fault. He enjoyed boats, fishing, was an avid competitive shooter and firearms enthusiast, as well as an experienced jack of all trades. He loved his extensive family and was very fond of reminiscing about all the good times with his relatives, the family camps in Dracut, and classic cars he had owned over the years.
He was preceded in death by his elder brother James and wife Sandra, as well as nephew Robert E. Belson.
Fred is survived by his wife of 48 years Sheila A. (White) Belson, sons Christopher P. and wife Mayumi, Adam R. and wife Deema, Daniel A. and Wife Melinda. Younger brother Edward E. Belson. Nephews Steven, Kenneth, Joshua, nieces Julie Pizzo, Brenda Kepes, and Janice Simonds, as well as five grandchildren, Aoi, Chloe, Colby, Noah, and Max.
Arrangements are to remain private per the request of Fred’s widow.
