Katherine Annmarie Cyr, 71, of Tifton, passed away at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Saturday, March 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Cyr was born on June 10, 1954, in Biddeford, Maine, to the late Harold "T- Bug" Swain and Anne Marie Cyr. Before retiring she was a Manager for Tift County's Residential Housing and was of the Catholic faith. In addition to her parents, Ms. Cyr was preceded in death by four brothers: Brendan Carlson, Richard Cyr, Irish Walker, and Kevin Walker.
Ms. Cyr was deeply loved and admired by her family. Her superpower was her ability to bring everyone together. Whether that be through spaghetti birthday celebrations, laughter on her front porch, or Thanksgiving dinner. Nothing made her happier than providing for those she loved. She was a warm hug, a fresh meal, a home, and a maternal figure to those who needed her to be. Despite the hardships she experienced throughout her life, she remained unwaveringly kind, generous, and strong. Her magic and heart of gold remain in those memories and experiences cherished by the people who knew her.
Ms. Cyr leaves behind the love of her life, whom she was with for 13 years, Ronald "Buddy" Pearson, four sons: Ronald Sperzel of Wewahitchka, Florida, Glen Howard of Clinton, Tennessee, Joseph Ware, and Bryan Ware both of Tifton, one daughter and son-in-law: Renee Cannady (Michael) also of Tifton, five grandchildren: Mystry Partain, Ryan Pritchard, Owen Ware, Levi Cannady, Evan Cannady all of Tifton, and Christopher Frizzle of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and two great-grandchildren: Journie and Raiden Pritchard.
