
Jimmie Hubert Norman, 84, of Enigma passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Norman at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Mark Stone will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the graveside at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
Born April 28, 1941, in Cook County, Mr. Norman was the son of the late Howard Hubert Norman and Edith Hobbs Norman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda “Gayle” Gann Norman; four sisters, Marilyn Anderson, Gyneth Cox, Joyce Hall and Carolyn Tawzer; and a son-in-law, Dennis McAllister. Before retiring, he was a farmer and a self-employed mechanic. He lived most of his life in Tift County, and he loved the outdoors, which included his love for fishing and farming. He loved his family, especially his girls. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Tifton. In the early 1960s, he was a drag racing champion.
Mr. Norman is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Candice and Rick Maluda and Melissa Norman, all of Enigma and Paige McAllister of Dublin; one brother, Darrell Norman of Tifton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Noal Malcom of Atlanta, Mitchell and Alexandria Maluda of Enigma, Chance and Ranea McAllister and Brandon and Abby McAllister, all of Dublin; and five great-grandchildren.
