
Madeleine Pauline (Aube) Audette, age 77, passed away on February 23, 2026, after a brief but aggressive illness.
She was born on December 16, 1948 in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Hilaire Aube and Terese (Nadeau) Aube.
Madeleine was predeceased by her devoted husband of 47 years, Gerard L. Audette; her sister, Nicole Ayotte; and her brother-in-law, Serge Ayotte.
She is survived by her loving children: Daniel Audette and his wife Angela of East Hartford, CT; Ginette LaFleur and her husband Frederick of Jupiter, FL and Susanne Breault and her husband Gerald of Springfield.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Sophia, Freddy, Izabela, Lucas, Zack, Ryan, and Zack, who brought her endless joy and whom she lifted up daily in prayer.
She also leaves behind her cherished brothers, Jean-Guy Aube of Westfield and Real Aube and his wife Janet of Springfield.
Madeleine was a woman of deep and steadfast faith. A devoted parishioner of Mary Mother of Hope Church, she taught Sunday school and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She believed in serving Christ through caring for others, and her life reflected compassion, humility, and quiet strength.
Her faith guided her daily life. She prayed faithfully, trusted in God's providence, and generously gave her time through volunteer work and community service wherever she was needed.
She was also an active member of the Chicopee Senior Center, where she formed lasting friendships and remained engaged in the community she loved.
Madeleine will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, generosity, and her unwavering devotion to her family and faith.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield Street, Chicopee. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, beginning at 9:30AM at the Grise Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Mary Mother of Hope Church at 11:00 AM. Committal prayers will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 1:00 PM.
