Mrs. June (Arraje) Valois , 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, at CareOne in Millbury, with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 years, Norman Valois, Sr., who passed away in 1992.
Born in Worcester on November 29, 1931, June was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Nazera (Hajjar) Arraje.
June was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help for more than 40 years, where she generously volunteered at the Tuesday night Bingo. She also dedicated her time to volunteering at Saint Vincent Hospital Cancer Center in the Radiation Department and remained active at the Worcester Senior Center for many years.
June found great joy in life’s simple pleasures — listening to music, watching Jeopardy, and completing crossword puzzles. Most of all, she treasured time spent with her family.
She is lovingly survived by her children: Mary Rawinski and her husband Steven of Worcester; Jean Valois and her partner Bob Roy; Norman Valois, Jr. and his wife Mary Jo of Worcester; her daughter-in-law Nancy Valois of Phillipston, MA; and her son-in-law Peter Arland of New York. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
June was predeceased by her son, Paul Valois (November 2024); her daughter, Linda Arland (September 2025); her siblings Linda Haggar, Evelyn Carlson, Yvonne Suprenant, and John Arraje; and her granddaughter, Ashlee Valois.
She also leaves her devoted caregivers, friends, and extended family at CareOne in Millbury, who provided her with comfort and companionship.
At June’s request, private services were held from Fazio Funeral Home, with burial following at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Louis M. Fazio III, Funeral Director and Owner.
