Diane J. “Nana” (Cohen) Wisel, age 92, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on January 28, 1934, she was a loving daughter of the late David W. and Sarah R. (Golden) Cohen.
Diane grew up in Chicago and was a graduate of Von Stuben High School, also in Chicago. A resident of Mansfield for the past eight years, Mrs. Wisel formerly resided in Stoughton and Newton, and prior to retiring had worked as an Administrative Assistant at Bank of America.
Affectionately known as “Nana”, by all who knew and loved her, Diane’s life was always centered and focused on her adoring family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was well-known for her remarkable cooking skills. “Nana” will always be remembered for the special place in her heart and the kindness and care she bestowed on animals.
She is survived by her devoted children, Daniel E. Wisel and his wife Lisa of Dedham and Stuart R. Wisel and his wife Sally of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Jake and his wife Melissa, Kate and her husband Thor, Jesse and her husband Eliza, Casey, Samuel and his wife Savannah, Eric, Joshua and the great grandmother of Sutton, Grace, Josie, Denny and Sonny. She was the dear sister of the late Eugene Cohen and Sylvia Cohen.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted.
