
NORWICH, CT – Joseph R. “Joe” Perron, Sr., 58, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2026.
He is survived by his 2 children, Joseph R. Perron, Jr. of Oxford, MA and Jay Perron of Indiana; his mother, Carol A. (Gaudette) Jacques of Quinebaug; 2 brothers, Robert Perron, Jr. of Westborough, MA and Thomas Perron of Dayville. He was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Perron who died in 2024.
He was born on October 29, 1967 in Ware, MA, a son of the late Alan Jacques. He was a 1985 graduate of Oxford High School in Oxford, MA.
Mr. Perron worked as an auto mechanic for many years retiring in 2021. He was an avid “motorhead”. His greatest joy come from working on and restoring cars and motorcycles. In his younger days, he raced in motocross. He was always willing to help anyone to repair their vehicles. He was affectionately known as “Mr. Fixit”.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the First Congregational Church, 81 East Town Street, Norwich, CT 06360. He will be laid to rest in the family plot in the Spring. Donations in his memory may be made to Saint Vincent de Paul Place, 120 Cliff Street, Norwich, CT 06360. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
