
Richard “Dick” Gregory Yousoufian, 79, of Arcadia, Florida, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, after a short illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard (Dikran) Martin Yousoufian and Eleanor Marit (Durmer) Yousoufian of Bedford, New Hampshire.
Dick is survived by his son, Antonio “Tony” Yousoufian; his former wife, Gioia DeCarlo; his sister, Martha (Yousoufian) Berman and her husband, Gary Berman; his nephew, Jeremy Berman; his niece, Juliet (Berman) Brender and her husband, Evan Brender; his grandniece, Lily Brender; and several cousins and their families.
Dick grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire, where he enjoyed an active childhood. He participated in the Boy Scouts, played Little League baseball, and developed a love of fishing. As a teenager he caddied at the nearby Manchester Country Club and became an avid golfer.
After graduating from Manchester High School West in 1964, Dick attended Leicester Junior College in Worcester, Massachusetts, and Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. He began his career as an advertising salesman for The Real Paper in the Boston area. In 1979, he co-founded The Tab with two partners. Serving as company president, Dick grew The Tab into a group of 14 free-distribution community newspapers serving Cambridge and the suburban communities west of Boston.
Dick lived for several years in Ashland, Massachusetts, in a home originally built in 1920 by his maternal grandfather. He married Gioia DeCarlo in 1989. In late 1992, The Tab was sold to Fidelity Investments. The family subsequently moved to Miami Shores, Florida, where they raised their son, Tony.
Dick’s pastimes included cherished time on the golf course and being a dedicated baseball enthusiast.
A funeral service is being held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 11:00am at the J. N. Boufford Funeral Home, 110 Bridge Street, Manchester, with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester, New Hampshire. The service will be followed by a meal of consolation.
