John W. Lexner, 77
Dateline: Mansfield, MA John W. “Jack” Lexner, age 77, most recently on Norton, a former twenty-year resident of Mansfield passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at The Boston Medical Center in Boston. Born in Boston, MA on October 4, 1948, he was a loving son of the late William and Kathleen (Dunn) Lexner. Jack grew up in Norwood and was a 1967 graduate of Norwood High School. During the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was honorably discharged following two tours of active duty. Jack was a familiar face at National Lumber in Mansfield, where he had been employed as a Manager in the Millwork Division, prior to retiring. He was a member of the Mansfield Lodge of Elks, an avid golfer and loved playing Keno. He was the dear brother of Jill A. Hiller and her husband Andy of Sharon and James Lexner and his wife Gail of Pawtucket. He was the much-loved uncle of Michael Lexner of Colorado, Paul Lexner and his wife Victoria of Quincy and the great uncle of Rowan, Axel and Luna. ‘ Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Sunday, March 1st from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. His funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2nd at a time to be announced at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial, accompanied by military honors, will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, Jack’s family has requested that contributions in his memory be made to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, 17 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108.
