
Randy Keith Vanderhoef, 67, of Glen Campbell, PA, and formerly of Michigan, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
The son of Charles Orby and Delores Jenene (Heaton) Vanderhoef, Sr., he was born on February 7, 1959 in Plymouth, MI.
After high school, Randy enlisted in the US military. He served his country in the Air Force from June 21, 1977 until November 5, 1980, when he was discharged with the rank of SRA.
Randy attended the One Life Church in Punxsutawney, PA.
Prior to his retirement, Randy was employed as an automotive parts salesman, most recently with the Stoltz car dealership and O’Riley’s, both located in DuBois, PA. Randy had the impressive gift of being able to track down and obtain whatever auto part was needed for his client.
Randy loved being in the outdoors and was especially fond of having picnics at Sam’s Dam with family and friends. He enjoyed jumping in his vehicle to go for a drive and watching dirt track races and football games.
He is survived by a large family.
Additionally, Randy is survived by his longtime companion, Debra (Williams) Gromley, with whom he shared a home and her children: daughter, Melinda “Mindi” Huey and husband Gale and sons: James and Braden Fetterman; daughter-in-law, Christine Gromley and children: Abby and Jeremiah Gromley and son, Bobby Gromley and wife Beth and their two children: daughter, Katlynn Gromley and fiancé Austin and Katlynn’s two children and their son, Logan Gromley, all of PA.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Eric Vanderhoef; his sister, Charlotte Laycock and his companion’s son, Jesse Gromley and father, Fred Williams.
At Randy’s request, cremation arrangements are with the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA.
