Obituary

Lillian Grace Landry, 13, of Worcester died Monday, February 16th at home. She leaves her mother, Heather Landry; her brother, Chester Marek; maternal grandmother, Tami and her husband “papi” Antonio Fernandes; maternal great grandfather, Lawrence Landry and his partner, Donna D’Agostino all of Worcester; aunt, Bethany Low and her husband, Robert of Webster; and great aunt, Shannon O’Connor and her husband William and their family. She also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Kevin Cann; maternal great grandmother, Sheila Landry; paternal grandmother, Gloria Burke.
Born in Worcester, she was a bright and beloved student at Forest Grove Middle School, where she truly loved going to school each day. Lillian had a beautiful spirit that shone in every classroom, hallway, and heart she touched.
Kind, funny, and endlessly bubbly, Lillian had a way of lighting up any room the moment she entered. Her smile was contagious, her laugh unforgettable. She adored music and especially loved The Little Mermaid, delighting in the songs and magic of Ariel’s world. She also had a special love for good food and simple joys, savoring every experience with enthusiasm.
Lillian never allowed her diagnosis of Rett Syndrome to define or limit her. She faced every challenge with strength, determination, and the heart of a true fighter. Her resilience inspired everyone who knew her. No matter the obstacle, she remained happy, courageous, and full of life.
She cherished her time at Autism Therapeutic Services, where she thrived in her after-school program and formed meaningful connections with those who cared for her so deeply. The staff and friends there became an extended family.
The bond between Lillian and her mother was something truly special — they were ying and yang, perfectly balanced, deeply connected, and inseparable in love and spirit. Together, they showed the world what unconditional love looks like. Equally undeniable was the bond that she shared with her brother, Chester. Chester loved and doted on Lillian endlessly – even when she was trying to smack his gaming controller out of his hands. Their playful moments were filled with laughter and affection. Whenever Lillian saw her brother, her face would light up with a big, radiant smile that said more than words ever could. The love between them was pure, joyful, and unwavering.
Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Lillian loved her. Though her time here was far too short, the impact she made will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
