James F. "Jimmy" Buchino, a 45-year resident of the North End of Boston and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at his home in the North End. He was 90 years of age.
Jimmy was born in Boston on October 23, 1935, a son of the late Francis X. Buchino and Constance (Conroy) Buchino. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. At a very young age in his life and a proud third generation family member, Jimmy was involved with Fiesta Shows most of his life. He was a longstanding member of The New England Showman's Association. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards and watching all the Boston sports teams.
Jimmy is the beloved husband of 51 years and partner for a total of 67 years to Rosemarie (Candelino) Buchino. He is the devoted father of Joyce Ann, Eddie, Jennierose and Paul, and Jamie. He is the loving Grandfather to Marco, Jonathan, Patrick, Rosemarie, Donna and Jaymee. He is the beloved brother of Paul and Alice. He is the loving uncle to Paul and Tammy, Jackie, Jeannie, Karen and Dennis. He also had a lifelong standing friendship with the late Fred Valenti and the Valenti family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jimmy"s Funeral Mass on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2026, at 11 A.M. in St. Leonard's Church, 320 Hanover St. North End of Boston. His burial will be private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
