Christos Lolos was called safely to heaven February 14, 2026, at the age of 92. Born in Chicopee on March 31, 1933, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Georgia (Panagiotocopoulos) Lolos. A life-long resident of Chicopee Falls, he carried a deep pride for his hometown. Christos served his country honorably in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his strong work ethic, loyalty and sense of duty. After his service, he owned and worked at the Rex Lounge with his brother, until selling the business in 2003. He was a member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Chicopee and most recently Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Holyoke. A devoted New England sports fan, Christos rarely missed cheering on his favorite teams. Whether it was the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots or Red Sox, he followed them with passion and pride, celebrating victories and enduring loses with the same unwavering loyalty. Christos was preceded in death by his brother, George Lolos in 2008. He is survived by his sister, Angelica Chapla and her husband David of Nevada, his children, Christine Garelli of East Longmeadow, Nick Lolos and his wife Karen of Chicopee, John Lolos of Chicopee, Katie Lolos of East Longmeadow and Ken Lolos and his wife Sue of Florida, as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Tues., Feb., 24, 2026, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 410 Main St, Holyoke, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
