Henry Samedi, 83, passed away on Monday, February 9th, 2026. Born on October 6, 1942, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Henry Samedi was the youngest of three children of the late Nicanor Samedi and Matilde Samedi (Casimir). Two siblings preceded him in death. At an early age, Henry and his sisters immigrated to America and settled in
Massachusetts. There, he began his career as an electrical drafter and designer.
Henry married Gertrude Elie in 1996, and three children were born of this union. The family settled earlier in Randolph, MA, and spent most of their time in Naples, Florida, before coming back to Boston, Massachusetts, in the final years of Henry's life. Henry professed his life to Christ at an early age. While in Naples, he joined Tree of Life Church
and cherished praising the Lord. He loved to read the bible, pray for others, and share his knowledge through his life experiences. He was a loving and hardworking person, husband, father, and friend.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, children, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 4 to 7 pm. His funeral service from the funeral home, will be on Friday, February 20th at 10 am. Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
