Louise G. (Boucher) Lausier of Salem passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2026, at the age of 96. She was the devoted wife of the late Alfred P. Lausier with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Georgiana (Noiseux) and Edward E. Boucher. Louise graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Salem, and first worked for the Boston and Maine Railroad, and later was employed in the auditor’s office at Danvers Town Hall. She had a great sense of humor and loved family get-togethers. She was an active member of St. Joseph Church in Salem and for years drove elderly neighbors to church and their appointments. She enjoyed playing cards, Sudoku, word searches, and was an avid reader. Louise used to say “God I love this family”.
She is survived by her children, Marie Lussier and her husband Robert of E. Longmeadow, Paul and his wife Susan of Danvers, Philip and his wife Cathy Baldwin of Tacoma, WA, Roger and his wife Dale of Salem, daughter-in-law Andrea and husband Laurence Schwartz of Salem, and two sisters Lorraine Dellazoppa of Danvers and Jacqueline Leary of Middleton. She enjoyed time with her 14 grandchildren; Matthew, Alyssa, Jesse, Justin, Danielle, Nicole, Brian, Renee, Jeffrey, Sara, Michael, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, and Joshua, and several great grandchildren. Louise was predeceased by her daughter Diane Poskus and son-in-law Albert Poskus.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route114 / 1-A] Salem on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. to be followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem, followed by her burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Her visiting hours, in the funeral home will be on Monday, February 16th from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
