Gai Thi Nguyen, 88, of Worcester died Monday, February 9th at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 68 years, Lau Tran; five sons, Thanh Tran and his wife, Phuong Hoang, Liem Tran and his wife, Hang Vo, Can Tran and his wife, Lan Tran, Man Tran and his wife, Yen To all of Worcester, Hien Tran and his wife, Diem Vo of West Hartford, CT; two daughters, Loan Anh Tran and her husband Duy Giang of Worcester, and Ngoc Anh Tran and her husband, Huy Quach of West Hartford, CT; seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was born in Hai Hau Nam Dinh, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1995. Gai enjoyed going to the temple and spending time with her family and friends.
Calling hours are Thursday, February 12th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Her funeral will begin on Friday, February 13th at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by cremation at Rural Crematory, 180 Grove Street.
