Barbara Janell Busbin Hogan, 89, of Sumner passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating, Mrs. Hogan will be laid to rest at First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Born June 14, 1936, Mrs. Hogan was the daughter of the late Amos Hogan and Vera Sykes Busbin Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rubert E. Hogan, Sr.; two sons Christopher Amos Hogan and Mark Hogan; and one sister, Juanita Hester. Before retiring, she worked in the Quality Control Department at J. P. Stevens in Tifton. In earlier years, she attended Unity Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Hogan is survived by two sons, Rusty Hogan, Jr. and Michael Hogan, both of Ty Ty; one daughter, Anita Hogan of Warwick; two brothers, Dale Busbin of Ashburn and Dennis Busbin of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Rubert Hogan, Barrett Hogan, Coty Hogan, Scarlett Hogan, Charlie Hogan, Nicholas Hogan and Mandy Hogan; and six great-grandchildren.
