Obituary

“BreastMary Bridget (Conway) Williams, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul; her nephews, Todd and Ryan; and her parents, James and Julie Conway. She is survived by her son, Paul Williams (Nichole); her stepdaughter, Kimberly McCusker (Michael); her siblings, Noreen, Patrick, Cathy, and Seamus; and her grandchildren, Michael, Caitlyn, Kristen, Dylan, Aislinn, Bryn, and Paul, along with many beloved friends and extended family members.

Mary was born on March 4th, 1942 in Clonbur, Ireland, and emigrated to Boston at the age of 10, with her sister Cathy. They lived with their Aunt Deliah in what would become Mary’s lifelong home in Charlestown. She attended school at Saint Francis for a time before beginning a life of hard, but fruitful, work. She met her husband Paul while working as a printer and they shared a lifetime filled with love until Paul’s death in 2004. In their many years of marriage, she only left his side once to travel back to her native Ireland for her father’s funeral. Mary and Paul eventually worked together as printers at Bunker Hill Community College where they both made deep and lasting friendships.

In retirement, Mary enjoyed spending time with close friends including Harriet, Julia, Susan, Emilio, Finn, and Crew, the Cocker Spaniel. She was always ready for a spirited conversation about politics, enjoyed reading her morning paper, and watching the news.

Mary will be deeply missed by the many friends and family who enjoyed her company and her love. She requested no memorial service and instead wished for a simple funeral where she could be fondly remembered. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, as Mary herself was a brave survivor of breast cancer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Graveside Service at 11 A.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St, Everett, MA. PROCESSION TO BE FORMED INSIDE OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE. There will be no funeral home visiting hours.
