Obituary

Anthony Edward Burroughs, 69, of Worcester was called home on Sunday, February 1st in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Roxbury, the son of the late Johnny Lee and Mae Hazel (Chambers) Burroughs. He was raised by Antonio Sequeria of Boston who now resides in Florida.
Anthony leaves his sister, Johanna Hampton and her husband, Ronald Wallace; his brothers, Steven Burroughs, Michael Burroughs and his wife, Makada Burroughs all of Worcester; and he was blessed with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Sheila Burroughs.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, Army, and Army Reserve and was an active member of the Tatnuck Post #288. Anthony worked as a self-employed mechanic and worked for the DCU Center and Applebee’s for many years. His laughter and kindhearted spirit will be missed.
His visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. Flowers may be sent.
