Margaret Mary (Costello) Urquhart, 88, of Foxboro, died peacefully, January 23 at the Hope Hulitar Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence, Rhode Island.
Born in Norwood, June 15, 1937, the daughter of the late John and Margaret M. (McNulty) Costello, Peg was raised in East Walpole and had lived in Foxboro for 68 years.
Peg had been a cosmetologist and manager of Timothy and Company in Norwood for many years. Peg had a beautiful singing voice and had been a country and western singer on the radio in Boston in her earlier days.
She is survived by her sons, Roderick J. Urquhart of Foxboro and Glenn E. Urquhart of East Falmouth.
She was the mother of the late Dennis J. Urquhart, Valerie J. Urquhart and Peggy Anne Urquhart.
Peg was the sister of the late Catherine Sansone, Joan Sheffer and John Costello.
Peg was also the partner of the late William Randall.
She is also survived by her grandson Jonathan E. Urquhart of Westwood.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at Noon.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00-Noon.
Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.
