Jane Castor, a 20-year resident of Revere and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 68 years of age.
Jane was born in Boston on October 8, 1957, a daughter of the late retired Boston Police Officer John J. Castor and Mary "Marie" (Herlihy) Castor. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Matignon High School in Cambridge in 1975. Jane worked for over 28 years as a Senior Associate at RSM in Charlestown.
Jane was a very supportive and caring aunt and friend to the many lives she touched throughout her life. She was also surrounded in her life by the greatest group of girlfriends a person like Jane could ever ask for especially during her illness. She loved going to the beach, traveling and was a diehard Bruins fan.
Jane is the devoted sister to the late Marjorie Doyle, John J. Castor Jr., Marie Castor, Nancy Froempter and retired Boston Police Officer Philip Castor and his surviving wife Kerry. She is the loving aunt to Casey Doyle, Caroline Doyle, John Feeney, Philip Castor Jr., Boston Police Officer Caitlin Castor, Jackie Castor and her great-nephews Crew and Cove and her great-niece Aulora. She is also survived by all of her so many dedicated and loving girlfriends.
