SACO- Judith "Judy" Elaine (Grieco) Neill, age 83, of Saco, Maine, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family.
Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, on October 5, 1942, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Vincent and Emma (Mower) Grieco. She spent much of her life in the Boston area before moving to Saco in 1986. She married her high school sweetheart, Alvin Neill; the two shared a lifetime of devotion and built a beautiful family together.
Judy was a dedicated professional, retiring from Verizon after 38 years of service. In her retirement, she and Alvin travelled frequently to Florida and California spending time with their close friends. Judy was a true believer in "Disney magic" and found great joy in all things Disney, often finding ways to share that same wonder with everyone she met.
Judy brought the fun to every party and the flavor to every Sunday dinner. Her famous sauce and meatballs were more than just a meal—they were known for bringing people together. In her later years, she found quiet enjoyment in the storytelling of Korean love stories, which became a staple of her daily routine.
Judy was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Neill, and her sister, Betty Jane Murphy.
Her legacy lives on through her four children and their spouses: David (Sharon) Neill, Susan (Andrew) Lynch, Karen (Kevin) Hoppe, and Cindy (Steven) Tulimieri. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Alex, Ryan, Jeff, Jack, Laura, Ava, and Eliza.
A private family service will be held to honor Judy’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association at: action.lung.org.
