Obituary

Irene G. Scleparis, a longtime resident of Methuen, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at her home in Methuen. She was 64 years of age.

How does one write an obituary about Irene to properly capture who she was to everyone while here on planet earth.

Irene's life and spirit was like a pollack work of art: unique, free flowing and unfettered. She would often say "This is who I am. I will not change for anyone".

Irene devoted boundless energy to make people laugh. Surely, her beloved polar bears at the North Pole could hear her. She would say "I am not loud. I am Greek".

Irene's love for all animals was unconditional. She would always say "All my children have paws; Bear Bubbles, Tiamo, Draco, Mille, and Luna. Wolfe was her "spirit companion".

Irene did everything she wanted and missed nothing. And while moving through her 64 years of life, she was as a friend wrote "a loyal companion, strong and ready to protect with unwavering devotion".

Irene's family; Mary and the late Joyce, Anna, Linda, George and Andrew, Louie and Elmarie, her friends; Barbara, Betty, Mary K., Donna C., Katie and Dave, Suzanne K., Tom and Nancy, her cousins; Cindy, Sharon, Ruthann, Julie, Carol and George, Elaine and Steve will now begin their journey through life less bright and heavy with grief. Irene was predeceased by her parents George L. Scleparis and Alice I. (Suckiel) Scleparis.

No one will fill our hearts the way Irene did. She was adored and loved beyond words. Her sudden death is gut wrenching. We hope peace will come knowing Irene peacefully left us after 2 short illnesses.

Dear Irene, we will see you on the other side. Keep up the laughter. We Love You!

THERE WILL BE A "CELEBRATION OF LIFE" GATHERING SOON. We will be in touch.
