Angelina Frances "Snookie"(Nett) DeLetter, of Wilmington formerly of Woburn, passed away peacefully, January 19, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 96. Angelina was the middle child of seven born to Joseph and Frances (Coccoluto) Nett on June 28, 1929. At a very young age she would become known by her nickname "Snookie" given to her by a family member that she would carry throughout her whole life by family and friends. It’s still unknown who gave her that name.
She was raised in Woburn and moved with her family to Epping, NH as a child, around 12 or 13 years old, for a few years and returned back to Woburn to be with her large, close knit Italian family. She graduated from Woburn High and started working for Travelers Insurance company in Boston where she had the great honor to meet all time Red Sox great, Ted Williams, when he visited her work for a car accident claim.
Snookie met and married her husband Archie (Achiel) while she worked at Travelers Insurance in Boston. They met at The Donut Kitchen, where he did some construction work for her brother Anthony Nett, who owned the business. They would marry in 1960. After honeymooning in Niagara Falls, they settled in Woburn and had their first child, a daughter Donna. She would leave Travelers to devote her full time to motherhood. They would move to Wilmington a year later where they bought their forever house that Archie helped build. They had three more children, Archie, Tom and Dan. She was an exceptional Mom who instilled great family values and loved her children unconditionally. She attended every school event or sporting event. She was our "Super Mom". She did everything from fixing all things broken in the house, gardening, mowing the lawn, making our Halloween costumes or whatever she could make for us. She made every holiday extra special and always went above and beyond to make everything in our lives that much better. Her faith in God carried her throughout her life. She was the best of the best. We couldn’t have asked for a better Mom. She loved and adored her four kids, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren who always put a big smile on her face and made her so proud. In her early years she loved going to dances and bowling. She enjoyed cooking and making her homemade manicotti and meatballs for the holidays, making special desserts, the Red Sox, crocheting and word searches as well as crafting with her family. She was known for having a great sense of humor. She was the matriarch of our family and filled that role with love, pride and grace. She is loved and admired by us all and will be missed beyond words. Rest easy mom. Heaven has gained its newest angel, and her presence will be met with open arms.
Snookie was the devoted mother of Donna Roberts of Belchertown, Archie DeLetter and his partner Kathy Miller of Lake Alfred, FL, Thomas DeLetter of Wilmington, and Daniel DeLetter of Melbourne, FL. She was the loving grandmother of Bonnie and Heather Roberts, Amanda, Kristen, and Archie DeLetter. Loving great grandmother of Kylie, Aubrey, Cameron, Gabrielle, Jordan, Julian, Myles, and Archie. Cherished sister of Joseph Nett of Woburn, the late Anthony Nett, Dominic Nett, Mary Pedi, Francis Nett, Carolyn Agostino. Further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Tuesday, January 27th, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
