Obituary

WEBSTER – George E. Krouse, Jr. 74, died Tuesday, January 13, 2026 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, surrounded by his family.

He leaves his caretakers and brother and sister-in-law, Wilfred L. “Fred” Beauregard and Pamela Thibodeau-Beauregard of Dudley; his sister, Anna Marie Signorino of Norwich, CT; 2 nephews, John and Pete Signorino; a niece, Lynn Rhaman; 5 stepchildren whom he helped raise, Linn Street, Mark and Tom Bertrand, Dennis Parker and his wife Joy, and David Darling and his wife Jill; 2 brothers-in-law, Gary Warblow and Bruce Warblow and his wife Julie; his best friend Adam Phillips; and his caregiver and PCA, Sue Hewey. He was preceded in death by his nephew David Signorino and by his stepson Jason Darling.

He was born on July 26, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of George E. Krouse, Sr. and Anna Mae (Ellsbee) Krouse.

Mr. Krouse was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was employed for many years as a security guard before retiring due to illness. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, cowboy boots and was an avid Celtics basketball fan.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street. Military honors performed by the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council Honor Guard will be held at 6:30 PM during the calling hours.
