Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we report the untimely passing of Rhonda Arlene
Mojkowski, age 64, after suffering an accidental fall at home. Rhonda was a champion
of children with disabilities, serving as a special educator early in her career in
Westfield, Massachusetts. Mid-career, Roni wished to serve the children of our U.S.
service men and women and did so spectacularly in Guam and then Okinawa Japan.
She ended her career as a dedicated and fearless advocate and investigator working
for the Massachusetts Department of Education. Rhonda was indeed a fighter, moving
quickly through her therapy and recovery after a recent stroke and the unexpected loss
of her husband in 2025. Her passing is a devastating loss for our family and for the
community.

Rhonda was born February 16, 1961, in Westfield Massachusetts, the third of five
children to Charles (Buzzy) Malvin Stevens, Sr. and Hazel Arabelle Stevens also of
Westfield Massachusetts. She married Andrew Mojkowski in 1997 and welcomed
daughters Victoria and Sophia into a strong and loving family that also included
Andrew’s daughters Lydia, Katrina, and Natasha. The family lived in several areas,
including North Carolina, Guam, Okinawa Japan, Marblehead and Westfield
Massachusetts, and Derry and Salem New Hampshire.

Always to cherish Rhonda’s memory are her beautiful daughters Victoria and Sophia
and stepdaughters Natasha, Lydia, Katrina, Alicia and Darla, her sisters Lynnea
Hayden, Annette Stevens, and Pamela Stevens, and her much loved nieces and
nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Andrew Mojkowski, her parents Buzzy
and Hazel Stevens, and her brother Charles Malvin Stevens, Jr.

Services to honor Rhonda’s life will be held at 4pm on Saturday January 24, 2026, at
J.N. Boufford and Sons Funeral Home at 110 Bridge St., Manchester, NH. Those
wishing and able to help support her surviving daughters may do so by contributing to a
